Shared Decision-Making (SDM) Leadership Academy

The Academy was co-developed by more than twenty Korean nephrologists and is delivered using a unified agenda and standardized educational materials. From May to October 2025, it was implemented across four regions in Korea using the same structured curriculum. The program has already received endorsement from both the Korean Society of Peritoneal Dialysis (KSPD) and the Korean Society of Nephrology (KSN), and two of the session recordings are publicly available through the KSN e-learning platform.

The SDM Academy is the first program in Korea to integrate research evidence (SDM_ART) with a standardized educational curriculum, thereby establishing a foundation for nationwide dissemination. The program also contributes to strengthening local PD capacity and enhancing clinician education.
