Since my immersion in the Home Dialysis Unit of Saint-Luc in 2017, I’ve always been devoted to the cares of patients treated with peritoneal dialysis and / or home hemodialysis. Beyond fascinating physiologic aspects of peritoneal dialysis and its related pathology, I’ve always been convinced by the personalized as well as the holistic approach we can offer to those patients as well by the continuous improvement of our clinical practice patterns including the center-effect and service provision around a home dialysis program. As a young nephrologist in charge of a home dialysis program since recently, it would be a great opportunity to sit at the ISPD Council Committee to meet the international community of peritoneal dialysis, to take part into research projects as well to share global initiative and strategies to enhance education and awareness of all the stakeholders regarding peritoneal dialysis.
