Snapshot of PSN meeting in Pakistan
The Pakistani Society of Nephrology organized a day-long hands-on workshop to train participants in prescribing and managing PD in patients with kidney failure. Supported by the ISPD, the faculty included our Rajnish Mehrotra (President, ISPD), Edwina Brown (Past President, ISPD), and Ahad Qayyum (Deputy Chair, ILC ISPD).
The workshop was oversold and the participants demonstrated great enthusiasm for learning about PD notwithstanding the many challenges facing practitioners in Pakistan to prescribe PD. The ISPD will continue to partner with local and regional societies such as the Pakistani Society of Nephrology to increase access to PD worldwide.
