I am on Peritoneal Dialysis I stated to have bloody drain bags… I did contact the dr. and I did take the bloodys bags for culture and they can not find any infections and I also had a CT Scan done and they did find a ovarian cyst?? So I went to an OBGYN and he said that there is no way that could be the problem??? well no the Dr. is saying that I have to go back on Hemodialysis which I think is the worst kind of Dialysis and I really was wondering if anyone knew what eles it could possiablly be??Please any kind of sugg. will be helpful, Thanks!!!

Is there evidence to support using Urokinase or equivalent to strip biofilm off PD catheter to prevent recurring peritonitis? We have done it a few times without success but some of our nephrologists keep asking nursing staff to "give it a go" as a last resort before removing catheter.
