There are many possible causes of hemoperitoneum in a peritoneal dialysis patient, even sclerosing peritonitis or a renal cyst rupture, so a complete physical exam, peritoneal cytology and imaging studies (CT scan or NMR) are mandatory.
Recurrent hemoperitoneum complicating continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis.
