Naturally occuring pericardial peritoneal communication is extremely rare. It is usually a consequence of previous surgery involving pericardium. I don’t know how your patient haa been diagnosed with this condition. If such communication exist, he is highly at risk of cardiac temponade if put on PD, unless the communication can be repaired.
