The disposal of peritoneal dialysis efluent ,depends of the layout of the unit if done in a central disposal area, nurse should use standart precautions, and avoid contact with clothing, skin and mucous mebrane. patients and family member at home usually are told to use the toilet or sink, but should be told how to clean and be carefull abouts splashing . Standart precaution should be use to HIV TB and hepatitis patients.
