I have been told that per ISPD guidelines a patient should on manual PD exchanges should follow this process: connect, drain, flush, & fill. However, I am unable to find a guideline which states this so that we can reference it it our updated policy. Can anyone help locate this guideline?

Information about connection methods can be found at ISPD guideline 2005, it is related to the use of spike connection flush before fill.PDI2005 25(2)107-131
