Hi, is it safe to do CAPD in a hotel room setting (carpets, curtains)? If unavoidable, what can i do to reduce the risk of peritonitis while doing CAPD in such a setting? I was told the pollutants/dust in the air will increase the risk of infection. Would proper technique + hand hygiene + a portal HEPA filter of some sort help? Thank you!

I wouldn’t worry too much about this risk of infection ; be cautious with a good hands hygiene while doing the exchange
