I trained a patient on the Fresenius stay safe system. My patient was newly blind so he hadn’t adapted very well to living without sight when I had to train him for PD. I met with a medical engineer and we designed a funnel to attach to the stay safe organsier to make it easier for him to connect without contamination. I think most blind patients wouldn’t need the funnel we made as they would probably have better spacial sense/awareness. I set up a daily visit by a home care RN to help with wt/bag selection/BP. He has been on PD more than 3 years and is doing quite well.
