PD (Peritoneal Dialysis) University for Interventionalists is a two-fold approach to training nephrologists and radiologists who place catheters using image-guided techniques. The course consists of didactic lectures followed by comprehensive hands-on workshops. The hands on workshop sessions are designed to take the physician through the entire process of catheter placement; including pre-operative catheter exit site selection, catheter implantation, and exteriorization and dressing. HDU for Physicians is designed to help those providing care to patients to improve current approaches to the initiation and delivery of dialysis, so overall patient outcomes can improve.
