The ISPD has endorsed two industry-supported educational programs, organised by two of our Corporate Members:
The Advanced Renal Education Program (AREP) Home Dialysis Workshops 2022 are organised by Fresenius Medical Care. Information about dates, program and registration links are available on this LINK.
The PD Academy SEA HCP Education Program is a comprehensive peritoneal dialysis (PD) training program organized by Baxter for both doctors and nurses. The PD Academy curriculum was developed by an expert faculty from the Southeast Asia Peritoneal Dialysis Network. Details of the course and registration are available on this LINK.

ISPD Asia Pacific Chapter Meeting 2023 – New Delhi
September 22 - September 24
Peritoneal dialysis is a well-recognized and accepted modality of dialysis with results comparable to or better than haemodialysis, at least in the first couple of years. Nevertheless, South Asia lags behind other countries in the Asia Pacific region especially China and Thailand, in spite of local manufacturing and PD being cheaper than HD. There are several reasons, some of which are lack of training, lack of PD education, local and central government policies, and lack of physician reimbursement.
In addition to these issues being addressed, recent knowledge in PD needs to be imparted to PD practitioners to convince them to initiate patients on PD. The 10th APCM (ISPD Asia-Pacific Chapter Meeting) scheduled in New Delhi from September 22-24, 2023 will specifically aim to tackle these issues and bring about heightened awareness and thus provide a fillip to increased PD usage.
Fee structure for the ISPD Asia Pacific Chapter Meeting:

- Indian delegate (Nephrologist/MD): INR ₹12,000
