Dakar International Peritoneal Dialysis Workshop
March 4, 2024 - March 6, 2024
The ISPD, though its African Chapter, has joined forces with AFRAN, SFNDT and Baxter to support the growth of PD in Senegal through training and education of professionals. As part of this programme, there will be an International PD Workshop in Dakar joint with Saving Young Lives. The meeting will include lectures, facilitated case discussions, hands-on workshops including PD catheter insertion, and serve as a forum to discuss future steps for the growth of PD in Senegal and the rest of Sub-Saharan Africa. Workshops and case discussions will be in English and French.
The Workshop will have attendees from Senegal but also is open to participants from other Sub-Saharan countries who are willing to grow their PD Programmes. Invitations will be sent soon.
The Dakar International Peritoneal Dialysis Workshop is co-designed with Baxter Healthcare, and will also have support from Fresenius Medical Care.
