1st International Dialysis Conference – Khartoum, Sudan

In December, 2015 the Sudanese Nephrology Society sponsored its first International Dialysis Conference. Held in Khartoum, Sudan, this conference was presented in conjunction with the International Society of Nephrology and the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis. One hundred thirty one Sudanese delegates attended this conference over the two day course.

Dr. Isaac Teitelbaum, then President-elect of the ISPD, represented ISPD at this conference. He gave 3 talks on PD-related topics and 2 on AKI.

ISPD welcomes Dr Isaac Teitelbaum as its new President

The ISPD is pleased to announce the election of Dr Isaac Teitelbaum as its new president. Dr Teitelbaum will serve as ISPD President until May, 2018.

Dr Teitelbaum is Professor of Internal Medicine/Nephrology and Director of the Home Dialysis Program at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Aurora, Colorado. He served as Treasurer of the ISPD from January, 2007 through December, 2014, and as President- Elect from September, 2014 to 1 March 2016.
