ISPD

Colin White is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Nephrology at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. He is the director of the dialysis program at BC Children’s Hospital, as well as the Royal College Fellowship Program Director and the Course Director for two undergraduate medical courses in first and second (planning stages) year medicine. He has been a member of the ISPD since 2005. He has been an invited workgroup member on numerous national and international nephrology panels (KDOQI – Anemia 2006/ KDIGO CKD 2012/ Canadian Society of Nephrology – Anemia 2007 & 2012) and a member of the Renal Work Group on the WHO ICD-11 Code Revision. He participates regularly in the Pediatric component of the Missouri led North American Annual Dialysis Meetings. He has/does review for many journals, including JAMA, PDI, CJASN, AJKD, Pediatric Nephrology and is on the Editorial Board of CJASN. Outside of best clinical practice as such, his interest in terms of PD involve teaching/education of fellows and nurses to promote use and best practice of what is generally the most available and convenient dialysis modality for most patients and families.
