Angela Yee-Moon WANG (MD, PhD, FRCP) was graduated from the University of New South Wales, Australia and is a nephrologist and Clinician Scientist working at the Queen Mary Hospital, University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
She is the current President of the International Society of Renal Nutrition and Metabolism (ISRNM) and a Council member of the International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD). She is also an International Society of Nephrology (ISN) Regional Board member, Committee Member of ISN-Advancing Clinical Trial, Executive Committee member of the SONG Initiative, Steering Committee of SONG-PD and previously an Executive Committee Member of Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO).
She has received several research-related awards including the United States NationalKidney Foundation Joel D. Kopple Award in 2018, John Maher Award of the ISPD in 2006 and Asia Pacific Federation of Clinical Biochemistry Travelling Lecturer Award in 2012.
She is a workgroup member of ISPD High Quality PD Prescription Guideline update 2017- 2019 and KDOQI Nutrition Guidelines in CKD 2015 – 2019 and was previously the Chair of the ISPD Adult Cardiovascular and Metabolic Guidelines 2013 – 2015. She was also a Core workgroup member of the first KDIGO –CKD-MBD guidelines 2007 – 2009.
She serves on the editorial board of many journals including JASN, CJASN, NDT ThemeEditor, Associate Editor of Nephron Clinical Practice and Editor-in-Chief of European Medical Journal (EMJ)-Nephrology. She has given > 150 invited lectures around the world. She is recognized for her research work in residual kidney function, cardiovascular, metabolic and nutrition complications in PD and chronic kidney disease. She has made over 150 publications to date and has delivered over 100 invited lectures around the world.
