Angela Wang (China)

Dr Wang was graduated from the University of New South Wales, Australia and is currently an Associate Consultant and Honorary Associate Professor at the Queen Mary Hospital, University of Hong Kong and a Visiting Professor of Nephrology at the Macau Institute of Applied Research in Medicine and Health, University of Science and Technology.

Dr Wang has received John Maher Award of the ISPD in 2006 and Travelling Lecturer Award of the Asian and Pacific Federation of Clinical Biochemistry in 2011-2012. She chairs the ISPD Adult Cardiovascular and Metabolic Guidelines (2012 – 2015) and a subcommittee of the ISPD PDOPPS. She is currently an Executive Committee Member of KDIGO (Jan 2015 – ), Secretary of International Society of Renal Nutrition and Metabolism (May 2014 – ) and Subcommittee Chair of KDOQI Evidence Based Practice Nutrition Guidelines in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) (Jan 2015 – ). She has served as KDIGO Board member (2011-2015) and Core workgroup member of KDIGO – CKD Mineral and Bone Disorder Clinical Practice Guidelines (2007-2009).

She is currently an Editorial board member of JASN, Am J Kidney Dis (Associate Editor), Am J Nephrol, Nephron Clinical Practice (Associate Editor), J Nephrol, Nephrology (Subject Editor), J Renal Nutrition, J Diabetes, Blood Purification, World J Hypertension, World J Nephrology, J Geriatric Cardiology, Austin Biomarkers and Diagnosis and was the International Editor of Clin JASN between 2010 – 2013.

She has published over 140 papers in indexed journals and given over 100 invited lectures in international and regional conferences. Her major research interests include residual kidney function, cardiovascular disease, vascular calcification and nutritional complications in peritoneal dialysis and CKD.
