Description of Award

The award was first created in 1995 in memory of John Maher, First President of ISPD. The award honors young individuals who have contributed significantly to the field of peritoneal dialysis, in clinical excellence, research and advocacy.

Eligibility Criteria

• Less than 45 years old at the deadline of the call for nominations.
• Both members & non-members are eligible to be nominated.

Selection Criteria

• As per Scholarship & Awards Committee.

• Ratified by Executive Committee  and Council.

Entitlement of Award

• USD 5,000.00.
• Cost of Travel & Accommodation provided by ISPD Local Organizing Committee.
• Complimentary Registration at upcoming ISPD Congress.
• Lecture at the upcoming ISPD congress on the awardee’s work.

Description of Award

The award was first created in 2014 in memory of Dimitrios G. Oreopoulos, Past President of ISPD and Founding Editor of Peritoneal Dialysis International. The award honors an individual who demonstrates stellar lifetime achievement in the field of Peritoneal Dialysis.

Eligibility Criteria

• Only members of ISPD of good standing at the deadline of the call for nominations may be nominated.
• Less than 45 years old at the deadline of the call of nominations.

• As per Scholarship & Awards Committee.

• Awardee not required to give a lecture.

Description of Award

The award honors the individual with the best submitted abstract at the ISPD Congress.

Eligibility Criteria

• Both members and non-members of the ISPD can be considered for the award.
• Awardee must be the presenting author at the Congress.

Selection Criteria

• Top 10 abstracts receiving the highest scores will be considered.
• The Executive Committee of the ISPD will score these abstract out of a maximum of 10 points independently.
• Award will be given to the abstract with the highest score from the Executive Committee.

Selection Committee

• Scientific Committee of the ISPD Congress scores all submitted abstracts.
• Executive Committee selects award winner.

Entitlement of Award

• Certificate of Award.
• Awardee must present the winning abstract in person at the upcoming ISPD congress.
• No monetary award.
• Awardee will be offered one year complimentary membership to ISPD.

Description of Award

The award was created in memory of Karl Nolph, Past President of the ISPD. The award is given to an individual with a particular field of expertise (clinical, basic science, policy & advocacy) in Peritoneal Dialysis.

Eligibility Criteria

• Both members or non-members may be considered for the award.

Selection Criteria

• Expertise in the field of Peritoneal Dialysis of particular significance, interest and impact to the scientific community.

Selection Committee

ISPD Executive Committee.

Entitlement of Award

• No monetary award.
• Cost of Travel & Accommodation provided by ISPD Local Organizing Committee.
• Complimentary Registration at upcoming ISPD Congress.
• Awardee to present his/her work at the Karl Nolph Lecture session.
