Election Statement
I would like to continue to dedicate my efforts to promote PD as a cost effective quality dialysis both regionally and internationally. Sitting in the Council of ISPD will allow me to further my mission. Combining good clinical and research data into appropriate socioeconomic perspectives and bringing to the world through education and lectures are my priorities.
Biography
Prof. Philip Kam-Tao Li is the Chief of Nephrology & Consultant Physician of the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics at the Prince of Wales Hospital (PWH), Hong Kong. He is also the Honorary Professor of Medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Prof. Li was the President of the Organizing Committees for the 11th Congress of ISPD 2006 in Hong Kong. He was also the Scientific Vice President of the 1st Asian Chapter Meeting for ISPD in 2002. His research interests in PD include Residual Renal Function, Cardiovascular Disease, Connectology, Peritonitis, Biocompatible solutions and Adequacy.
