Rajinsh Mehrotra (USA)

Dr. Mehrotra is Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington and is section head of Nephrology at the Harborview hospital in Seattle. He chairs the Dialysis Advisory Group of the American Society of Nephrology since 2009. A member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), he was awarded the John Maher Award by the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis in 2006. His research support includes, among others, grants from the National Institutes of Health. His research interests include comparative effectiveness of dialysis modalities, biological determinants of peritoneal membrane function, and patient-reported outcomes in patients undergoing maintenance dialysis. He has published/co-authored over 160 articles and/or book chapters, with a H-index of 32. He is an Associate Editor of Peritoneal Dialysis International and has served as Associate Editor of NephSAP, and section editor for Clinical Nephrology. He is currently a member of the editorial board for the Journal of American Society of Nephrology, Kidney International, American Journal of Kidney Diseases, Clinical Journal of American Society of Nephrology, and Journal of Renal Nutrition. He chairs the Education Committee of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis. He has served as chair of the Membership Committee and a member of the Council of the Society in the past.

Mandate

  • To review expenses and revenues of the ISPD and to make recommendations on how to improve the financial health of the society with the objective being to bring financial stability to ISPD and in so doing, help the ISPD to achieve its mission
  • To prepare a budget on an annual basis for the upcoming financial year
  • To review the Auditor’s report before it is presented to a council meetin

Membership

General Membership:

The committee will have a membership of 4 people (including the chair):

  • The ISPD Treasurer
  • Two additional members of the Council or the Executive
  • One non Council member
